JUNIOR COMPLIMENTS & ITEMS OF INTEREST.
!9th February 2005
A letter from Colin Harrison.
What a super junior web page you and the gang have put together.
Here's a suggestion for another section-Anatomy for beginners.
Found an interesting article on the knee and how important it is to look after it-maybe worth insertion so everybody looks after their knees young and old.
As Andrew is in a 'no training and minimum racing regime' at the moment due to 'growing pains' in his knee meaning his patella is lob-sided causing friction and aggravation when running and walking. Weekly physio taking place but advice is to build up inner muscle with special exercises and allow bones to develop.
He is as lively and cheeky as ever. Still desires the award for getting lost-maybe when he runs with the BIG BOYS....go to The Mandegloire above.
Hopefully aiming for 20th March at Barley in the junior championship-but with no training and moving up an age group he will be chasing the pack. Richard Shuttleworth should be pushing the top 3.....
And watch this space as junior fell running is getting more popular with cross over from X-country and Alan and Pete appear pretty active in support to name but two!
Colin.
Flattery will get you everywhere Colin. Thanks for your kind compliments. It's a learning curve. If any parents have smaller kids, then the little lambs & the Western Screech Owl are my initial attempts at interactivity! The deer pictures may be of interest? Tell them to be careful with the little lamb's big ear. I heard on the radio this morning that Mark Twain once said " I can live for a month on a compliment".
Thanks for the link to DIY Anatomy! Meanwhile here's that one which I prepared earlier!
Since the above letter Andrew is back. You can see on the Pendle page.
The old blogger is putting things in the junior section (as above the screech owl etc.) which I think may be of interest to the younger ones. If I am out of touch please update me!
