Harrier Hall of Fame

A Visit to our Glorious Past

The Harriers are proud of our noble history. Brendon Foster calls us "The famous Preston Harriers". One of our favourites, still going strong, but playing only regular Tennis these days, is Maurice Dean. He would without doubt still be running with the rest of the gang, but for his injury.  He holed out on a run and damaged his foot, seemingly beyond repair.        In addition to his great and respected prowess as a runner, he has for so long been a Harriers workhorse, perhaps unmatched. Brian D tells me that some time ago he was setting out a Maurice designed Orienteering Course, around Great Hill. Brian said that it was so well planned that he had encountered no problems at all. Typical Maurice, planning to the smallest detail.

Maurice has put together the following. More can be added from those with or without a glittering past.
