Experience has shown that navigational skills are required on the fells and to find the start! Do allow plenty of time to locate Fell Foot as it’s off the beaten track and in past years some runners were still looking for the start after the race had finished!

PARKING:                On the road near the start.  Please park as directed and share transport wherever possible. Public toilets are available at Chipping village GR. 622433.

REGISTRATION:    Entries only taken on the night near the start. Fee £3.00 (+40p optional for results). PLEASE try to provide the CORRECT MONEY and ease pressure on the officials. Familiarise yourself with the route on the maps displayed.

EQUIPMENT:          Be prepared to carry full body cover, map, compass and whistle.

AFTERWARDS: Retire to the village hall CHIPPING where you can shower, exchange your race number for a modest supper of pie ‘n’ peas (whilst stocks last) and enjoy a drink at very competitive prices. If the weather is kind drinks can be enjoyed outdoors, if its foul the hall will probably be heaving.

PRIZES:        Prize-giving will take place around 9pm. Prizes to first five men; first three ladies plus M40, L40, M50 & M60. There will also be a prize for the first team - 3 to count.
