The Sunday Morning Group

HEALTH WARNING  SINCE WE STARTED, TWO OF THE GROUP HAVE BECOME PREGNANT.

Thankfully they were both female. Kate Johnston is expecting her first baby in March. Good luck Little Kate. Meanwhile Ruth Mulholland, her sister, will have a while longer to wait. Good luck Ruth. We miss you both, so get it over with and get back in the mud!

Stop Press 24th March  Today Kate's had her baby, a girl, Jessie. 8lbs 15oz. Mother & Baby are doing well. click to see. Joe Howard's new granddaughter

Within five minutes of us

setting off this morning,

we came upon this Riley Green Roe Deer.

Anyway what sort of runner carries a camera?

Three of the four,

canal cruising. It's

just around here that

the blogger has seen

Steve Smith in secret

training.

Just after this point Joe went off on a longer run determined to solve the problem of the extra loop to our longer run. Did he manage? Well almost! Maybe next time.

13th February

Item of news this morning reminds me of the Manflu business below. (6th Feb).

"After nine days in hospital the Pope was discharged today. His admission to hospital had been due to  respiratory problems brought on by a cold".  Popeflu,  big style eh? Well today Eileen (last week's Manflu lady) and Sarah R were the only two out with the Blogger. Brian came, but sat by the fire nursing his sore ribs. As we were leaving, Eileen was shouting 'Are you sure you'll be alright love?' Pathetic!  Sarah R had arrived with, yes Manflu! Seems to me these ladies are the only ones to get this Manflu! We ran steadily and persevered through a snowstorm, which went as quickly as it came. Well done girls! I'm backing off quick, honestly I'm only joking! By the way Sarah beat me up a hill to a stile today. I'm getting older..........ar'nt we all?

6th February

Set off on what we call our long run, and decided to cut it a bit shorter

by creating a tried once & previously failed loop.  Failed again!

Got lost (a little) & were out for 2hrs 20mins. It was good and muddy today.

Joe Howard wasn't with us, he had been a last minute selection for today's Relay.

30th January

Two V60's (M) with a gurgle (or is it gaggle or giggle) of young blood,

all practicing Sunday morning female fell runners. (& All paid up

Harrier Members, but this is not an essential part of

featuring on the Fell Web). Sarah Howard,

in between whinges, said that her good running style

was due to the quality training she had experienced with

Pete Benson on Wednesdays. Sarah Roberts is now a Virgin

Cosmetic Party girl! We V60's can't wait to get our

bodies covered in the yakkum, from the men's page of the brochure.

Eileen turned up with Manflu! She still flew round like a Spring

Chicken!  If you are unsure of Manflu read all about it in the

February Harrier. (Bottom of Page 17).

Tom, Little Kate, Sarah H & Sarah R. Tom is Sarah R's nephew, aged twelve & sadly faded from Sunday Mud to Badminton. We now call him the Badminton Boy. Maybe he will return. Oh yes he is also into Jordan. The younger ones have been protecting the Old Blogger. I thought it meant he'd taken up Arabic studies. Imagine my surprise!

The Jordan from whom I am protected.Ugh!    The Jordan I would love to know more about.

Thank goodness!

Two S's after only a bit of mud. The lord of

the manor approves from his Tower in the background.

Ruth & Little Kate her sister (above, with the group) are both

presently on Maternity leave from Sunday Mud Slogging.

Good luck to you both. See above

The Picture of Ruth above not in her running gear inspired another page.
